A completed import is the starting point, not the finished site. Verify assignments, replace business-specific values, and test the workflows that the selected Plumbit demo uses. Demo media is added to the WordPress Media Library, while some imported layouts may continue to reference external Stronghold-hosted image URLs; review and replace both with images you own or are properly licensed to use before launch.
Check menus, widgets, headers, and footer#
- Open and confirm Main Menu is assigned to the intended primary and mobile menu locations.
- Review widget areas and remove demo items that do not belong to the site.
- Check the theme header provider, footer provider, and Page Header provider in their existing Customizer sections. If Elementor is selected, confirm the published template is the intended record.
- Open representative Elementor pages and templates when Elementor is enabled.
The demo import assigns Home, News List, and Main Menu automatically. Correct an assignment rather than recreating the imported record.
Replace business details and links#
Update the logo, company name, phone number, address, service details, social links, contact destinations, legal links, and calls to action. Treat every imported value as sample content until it has been reviewed.
Do not treat demo values as live credentials#
Demo content does not configure production email delivery, payment processing, hosting, domain ownership, SMTP, or third-party credentials.
Test forms and WooCommerce only when enabled#
For Contact Form 7, review the Mail tab, recipient address, sender settings, spam controls, and actual delivery. A successful frontend response does not guarantee email delivery.
For WooCommerce, review , currency, tax, shipping, payment, stock, checkout, and account settings. Demo imports do not include real orders or customers.
Review for imported demo assets and review imported pages for external Stronghold-hosted demo images. Replace both local demo media and externally referenced imagery with images you own or are properly licensed to use.
Run the final setup check#
- Review the public page at desktop and mobile widths.
- Check navigation, images, forms, and critical links.
- Open Search and the 404 page.
- Record unresolved issues before making broad changes.
Expected result#
The imported demo uses Home as the homepage, News List as the posts page, Main Menu in the intended locations, the correct header, footer, and Page Header providers, reviewed form and store settings, updated business details, and licensed replacement imagery.
