Troubleshooting Plumbit team members

Diagnose missing Team members, wrong images, field output, links, ordering, taxonomy filters, 404s, stale content, and missing widgets.

When a Plumbit Team member is missing or incorrect, first identify whether the page uses a Team record query or content saved directly in Elementor. That distinction determines which source should be changed.

Start with safe checks#

  1. Confirm the record and plugin state#

Check that the Team member is published and that Plumbit Extensions is active. Confirm the expected Team member title and public URL.

  2. Identify the page and widget mode#

Open the affected page and inspect the Team widget's Team Display Type and Team Content. Post Type queries records; Content List and Single Team use direct Elementor content.

  3. Refresh after saving#

Save the source record or Elementor page, refresh the affected page, and compare the result with the saved source. Clear the relevant page cache only when saved content remains stale.

Confirm Plumbit Extensions is installed and active, then check that the user account can manage Team members. If the menu remains unavailable, collect the WordPress version, plugin version, user role, and any admin error for support.

A Team member is not showing#

Post Type queries require a published Team member. Check the Team widget's item limit, pagination, Filter team by category, Team Category, title ordering, and any responsive or display settings. A direct Team Items repeater does not add newly published records automatically; edit the direct Elementor item when that is the active source.

The wrong member or card appears#

Check the content mode first. In Post Type mode, inspect the query, category filter, publication status, and item limit. In Content List or Single Team mode, inspect the direct title, image, description, and link fields saved in Elementor. Do not change a Team record to repair a direct item.

An image is missing or wrong#

Post Type cards use the Team record Featured Image. Direct Team Items and Single Team use their own Elementor Team Image field. Confirm the correct image is selected, the media file is available, and the active widget mode is using the source you edited. The widget may omit an image block when no image is available.

Position, biography, or contact information is wrong#

Position and Team Member Description are Team Options fields used by Team widget output where supported. The main biography belongs to the record editor and single content area. The active Team Options panel does not contain separate email, phone, website, address, experience, or qualifications fields. Phone and email link types can belong to direct Elementor items instead.

Social icons are missing#

Check the supported Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, and Skype fields for record-query output. Google+ is a legacy field retained for older content. The Google+ service is no longer active, so do not use this field for new profiles. Enter the Skype value in the format used by your existing Team profiles and test the generated link before publishing. Confirm the widget's social-link display setting and content mode. Direct Elementor content has separate social controls, and blank values suppress corresponding icons where supported.

Team order is wrong#

Post Type output uses the widget query and its Order by title control when enabled. Content List follows Team Items repeater order. Single Team has one direct item. Taxonomy routes have their own WordPress query order. Plumbit does not provide a global drag-and-drop Team ordering workflow.

The Team category filter is empty#

Use the active Team Member Categories taxonomy. Check that terms are assigned to published records and that the widget is in Post Type mode with category filtering enabled. A direct Elementor item does not inherit record taxonomy terms.

Post Type cards use the Team member permalink when member links are enabled. Direct Team Items and Single Team can use a direct URL or the Page / Post / Custom Post Type selector and Link Type. Check the active mode, changed slugs, deleted destinations, and social URLs separately.

A Team page returns 404#

Check that the record is published, the slug is correct, Plumbit Extensions is active, and no page or slug conflict is taking the URL. Avoid repeatedly changing permalink settings without evidence that rewrite state is the cause. Plumbit does not register a native Team archive; individual record URLs and term-specific taxonomy routes are separate from an archive.

A Team archive is missing#

This is expected when you are looking for a native post-type archive: Plumbit does not register one for Team members. Use a page containing the Team widget for a listing, or use a specific Team Member Categories route when that term has a usable public URL.

Team changes remain stale#

Confirm the Team record or Elementor page was saved, then check that the page uses the source you changed. Refresh the frontend and clear only the relevant page or browser cache if the saved content remains stale. If the site uses generated Elementor files or a CDN, follow the site's established cache procedure rather than clearing every cache immediately.

The Elementor Team widget is missing#

Confirm Elementor and Plumbit Extensions are active, search the Plumbit widget category for Team, reload the editor, and inspect the browser console for an editor error. If the widget remains missing, collect the plugin versions and affected editor URL.

A critical error appears#

Record the full error, Team member URL, admin or frontend location, widget name and content mode, Plumbit version, Plumbit Extensions version, Elementor version, WordPress version, and PHP version. Do not send passwords. Contact Plumbit support with those details.

Expected result#

You can identify whether the issue belongs to the Team record, direct Elementor content, the Team Member Categories filter, query ordering, a permalink, the page template, plugin state, or a relevant cache layer before escalating.
