How Plumbit team widgets display content

Before you begin#

• Confirm Elementor and Plumbit Extensions are active.
• Have a published Team member available when testing a record query.
• Open the correct Elementor page and select the Team widget.

Identify the Team widget#

In Elementor, search for Team in the Plumbit widget category. Plumbit retains legacy and modern versions, but both are presented as the Team widget and expose the same broad content ownership concepts.

Choose a display type#

Open the Team settings and inspect Team Display Type. The available display choices include Team Carousel, Team Grid 2 Column, Team Grid 3 Column, Team Grid 4 Column, and Single Team. The display type controls layout; it does not by itself decide whether the visible content comes from records or Elementor.

Understand Team Content modes#

For carousel and grid displays, Team Content can use Post Type or Content List. Post Type queries published Team member records. Content List stores Team Items directly in Elementor and does not reference Team records.

Content List items are direct Elementor content and do not reference Team records. A new Team record appears only in a record-query mode.

Query published Team members#

Set Team Content to Post Type. The widget queries published Team member records and can use controls such as Number of items, pagination, Filter team by category, and Team Category. The record query reads the Team title and featured image and can use Position, description, and social values when the selected Team widget supports them.

Use Order by title when the query should sort names alphabetically. The widget also provides carousel and responsive grid controls, but these are presentation settings rather than a global Team ordering system.

Use direct Team Items#

1. Choose Content List#

   Set Team Content to Content List when the cards should be authored directly on the Elementor page.

2. Open Team Items#

   Add or expand a repeater item. Direct fields include Team Image, Title, Position, Description, Team Member Link, Page / Post / Custom Post Type, Link Type, and optional social fields.

3. Update the Elementor page#

   Direct Team Items belong to the Elementor page. Editing, publishing, or trashing a Team record does not alter a direct item.

Use the Single Team display#

Single Team uses one direct Team-style item with its own image, title, position, description, link, page selector, link type, and optional social controls. It is not a selector for an existing Team record. Link Type options can include a normal link, phone, or email for the direct item.

Map visible card fields#

Filter and order Team members#

For Post Type content, use Filter team by category and Team Category when terms are assigned. Order by title changes the query to title ascending; otherwise the widget's default query order applies. Content List follows repeater order. These are separate from taxonomy-route order, and Plumbit does not provide a global drag-and-drop Team order.

Check Team card links#

Post Type cards use the Team member permalink when Enable team member links is enabled. Direct Team Items and Single Team can use a direct URL or the Page / Post / Custom Post Type selector with the exposed Link Type. Check the content mode before changing a destination.

Preview and update#

Preview after changing a query, direct item, filter, link, carousel setting, or responsive grid setting. Update the Elementor page when widget settings changed; update the Team record when its saved content changed. Check cards at the intended desktop, tablet, and mobile widths.

Expected result#

You can identify whether a visible Team value comes from a Team record query, the Team Member Categories filter, a direct Team Items repeater, or a Single Team direct item.

Send the page URL, Team widget display type and content mode, the expected record, widget query or direct item settings, Plumbit version, Plumbit Extensions version, Elementor version, WordPress version, PHP version, and a screenshot. Do not send passwords.
