Plumbit uses more than one content source. Some text is entered directly in Elementor, while other content is stored in WordPress records and then displayed by a widget or template.
Before you begin#
- Make sure Plumbit Extensions and Elementor are active when the page uses their features.
- Open the page or record that owns the content before changing the display widget.
- Preview the affected page after saving the source record and the layout.
Content map#
Use this map to identify the correct editing screen. Menu names below match the Plumbit interface.

Choose the source before editing the layout#
Edit direct content#
If the wording belongs only to one page, open that page in Elementor and edit the heading, text, image, button, or container that owns it.
Edit queried content#
If a widget lists services, projects, team members, posts, or products, open the matching record from its WordPress menu. The widget controls the query and presentation; the record supplies the reusable content.
Edit global presentation#
Use Appearance → Customize for site-wide presentation such as colors, typography, page-header contexts, and other theme settings.
Edit one page only#
Use the page-level options beneath the editor when a single page needs an intentional exception to the global settings. When a page-level control supports inheritance, leaving it unset allows the corresponding global setting to apply.
Why some content cannot be edited directly in Elementor#
Elementor may control the layout, query, spacing, and styling without owning the words or images shown in each card. A Services widget can display a list of Service records; a Team widget can display Team Member records; a product widget can display WooCommerce products.
When a widget has no text controls for the visible content, edit the source record first. Return to Elementor when you need to change which records are included or how the results are arranged.
Common problems#
Expected result#
You can identify the record that owns a visible piece of content, edit it in the correct WordPress screen, and use Elementor for layout and presentation instead of searching for content controls in the wrong place.
Support escalation#
Provide the page URL, the editing screen you used, the widget or record name, whether the source record is published, and a screenshot of the relevant control. Do not send passwords or private account details.
Testimonials#
Manage Testimonials from the WordPress Testimonials area. Assign Testimonial Categories when the site uses them, then review the widget or template that displays the records.
