Add Plumbit widgets through the normal Elementor editor, then place and save them in the intended container.
Overview#
Plumbit widgets are added through Elementor. Plumbit Extensions must be active. Dependency-based widgets can remain visible in Elementor, but WooCommerce or Contact Form 7 must be active before their plugin-owned content can be configured and rendered.
Before you begin#
- Plumbit Extensions is active.
- Elementor is active.
- The page is available to edit with Elementor.
- Any required content or dependency, such as WooCommerce or Contact Form 7, is available.
Open the Elementor editor#
Open the intended page and choose Edit with Elementor. If the action is missing, confirm that the intended page is open and that your account can edit it.
Find Plumbit widgets#
Choose Add Element. Search by the exact widget title or browse Stronghold Elements for Modern widgets. Existing Legacy general widgets appear under Plumbit; Legacy header widgets appear under Plumbit Header.
Add a widget#
Choose the widget#
Select the widget from the search result or category.
Place the widget#
Drag it into the intended container and confirm the insertion point in the canvas.
Choose the collection carefully#
For a new layout, use a suitable Modern widget when one is available. Keep a working Legacy widget on an existing layout unless you deliberately plan a rebuild.
Select and move a widget#
Select the widget handle in the Canvas or use Navigator to select the correct item in the container hierarchy. Drag the widget to a new position and confirm the surrounding containers still have the intended structure.
Duplicate a widget#
Open the widget context menu and choose Duplicate. Review copied links, images, query filters, and responsive values before saving.
Delete a widget#
Open the widget context menu and choose Delete. If the removal was accidental, use Elementor history or revisions before continuing.
Add a dependency-based widget#
Dependency-based widgets remain visible in Elementor. Product widgets require active WooCommerce before product-owned content can be configured or rendered, and the Contact Form widget requires active Contact Form 7 before a form can be selected or rendered. Activating either dependency does not automatically create missing products, forms, or other source records. If the dependency is inactive or unavailable, use the catalog and troubleshooting guide before changing the page.
Save the page#
Use the current Elementor save action, such as Publish or Update, after reviewing the page. Do not assume that an editor preview is the same as the saved frontend.
Preview the frontend#
Open the public page in a fresh view and check the widget at desktop, tablet, and mobile widths. Confirm links, images, source records, and conditional output.
Expected result#
The selected Plumbit widget appears in the intended container, exposes the controls for its collection and design, and renders on the saved frontend page.
Common problems#
- Widget search returns no result.
- The Stronghold category is missing.
- The widget cannot be dragged into the intended container.
- A duplicate copies unwanted settings.
- A deleted widget needs to be restored.
- Editor output differs from the frontend.
